Plants have been our allies to support us in our natural health and wellness lifestyle for thousands of years.  Essential oils are derived from various parts of the plant-roots, stems, leaves, bark, flowers and fruit.  These oils coat the plant to help protect them from various pathogens.  When we use essential oils either aromatically, topically, or internally, we too are being protected and supported.  

 

dōTERRA takes it many steps further by ensuring that their oils are beyond organic.  What does this mean?  Simply, that each oil is grown where they grow indigenously around the world so that the soil, climate, and natural habitat of decades of growth all contribute to the highest quality essential oil available.  After each plant is harvested it is distilled on-site and tested for any impurities.  When each newly processed essential oil is shipped to dōTERRA, it then goes through a series of 7 more tests for herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals, and even water.  After each essential oil passes these tests and is guaranteed to be only 100% pure essential oil, it is given the Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG) seal of approval.
